For sub-subject, This is my first article. Lets see how I do.
Many people wonder the same thing as me. How exactly can gothism be described? Is it the way they look, Act, Or who they know? Thats what Ill try to explain here. Ive been looking about for years online, Browsing through the “Gothic Babe Of The Week” catalog, Looking at personal sites, And main sites such as this one. Ive noticed several similarities, Yet the same things are different throughout each person. Look at music tastes first off. Note that on almost every goth page you look at, The words Switchblade Symphony appear. This could be a purely goth band; As most “normal” people have never heard of the group. Music is probably part of it.
How about the way they look? The primary color in goth fashioned clothing is, Everybody say it with me, Black. Although many highlite colors are usually mixed in, Black can (probably) be found on every single person who claims to be gothic. Stuff found at Hot Topic and all sorts of dark themed stores like it. Although fashion is not the only way you can identify a member of a subculture, It seems the quickest way to identify them. Just look at some of the most popular, Big named goths out there. Batty, For instance? Therefore it seems to be their dressing that way that is the only way they can be classified.
“But wait! Ax! If thats it, There could be highly religious, Nazi, Gangster, Country bumpkin goths out there!”
Oh yes, How do goths act?
How do they say they act? They are caffeine feinding, Club going, Dancing, Joke telling children of the night who dont listen to country music or discriminate against people by the way they look. And the rest of society, How do they say goths act? Theyre snobby, Satan worshipping, Pagan, Evil cannibals who hate everybody they see and think theyre vampires.
Whoa, Hold on a second here. Thats quite a difference. Now, Which one do I believe and why? The first one; Because as for everybody else, By their describtions, Theyre afraid to get to know goths because of the way they look. Plus, My best friend is goth. And I know how he acts (almost exactly like me).
Now, Could someone be gothic simply because they know several goths and are befriended by many? Is it because all their friends are goth and they go to the same club; even if the person looks like a cowboy or school teacher? I dont know. But that seems to be a large part of it, Seeing as most goths friends are mostly goths themselves.
Seeing as theres not much more I have to say on that, Ill finish it off with a few small observations Ive made.
