A Modest Proposal

It’s obvious that the world has not failed to notice our political situation. How fun it must appear to them to have a nearly month-long presidential election. Bravo to us, the so seemingly superior Americans! We’ve always managed to do things “bigger and better.” Honestly, what other country would find a simple thing (like that lovely little election) and blow it up to assure it gets world- wide media coverage. We are marvelously brilliant, indeed!

How could I ever forget to mention the honest and perfectly credible man we so fairly elected to be our representative, the most honorable, “Little Bush.” All the votes got counted. Well, except for a few, but do a hundred thousand missed votes really count? After all, they were just overseas and African-American votes, they don’t really count, right? Bush JR. was defiantly the right candidate for us. He’s already proving his worth and his almost prophetic “six sense” of military prowess by bombing Iraq. And all this coming from a man with practically NO military experience AT ALL! He’s essentially the “Mini-Me” of his father! Papa Bush must be proud! And I couldn’t possibly forget good ‘ole Jeb. He was SO willing to ‘help’ his brother win, and at all costs, too! What delightful coming years we are looking forward to with “Mini-Bush” at the wheel (…and I can see this bus is going straight to Hades!). I certainly can’t wait.I propose that we keep up this new political scheme (or is that “scam”). We should continue to have elections that last months on end. In fact, we should start preparing for the next election! I think our next president should be “Stone Cold” Steve Austin with his running mate being that oh so competent governor, Jesse “The Body” Ventura. They would make an excellent team, maybe even better than ‘The Bush Team’.
