Have you ever been called satanist and other words because you prefer dark and sombre colors……well i have and i cant see why people connect goths and satanists….i pretty much piss me off when people comes to you and ask “are you a satanist” and stuff why cant people see the difference

People ask you that because its stereotypical that goth and satanists are the same. Some goths are interested in the devil and bla bla bla. All i can say is you bring it on yourself by dressing the way you do. They’re just clothes for gods sake, who cares what you wear.

I wouldnt give a fucking shit about such comments. Ive heard many of those too and its just because people get told in TV/newspapers/etc that “black” people are bad and satanists and so, like Vixodus said, its just stereotypical.
Ever had anybody assume you’re into b/d, or kinky shit or cross dressing or whatever, just coz ur “not of standard sexuality” ??
Everybody gets misidentified and you live with it because you don’t have a choice. You can’t re-educate everybody who’s ignorant.
Plus it’s WAY not important - I mean who gives a shit what the outside world thinks as long as you’re not ashamed of who you are and what you believe in.
By bringing the subject up, and bothering to be pissed off about it, you’re only lending importance to something essentially insignificant.

one time, this girl i know knew i am an atheist and she immediately assumed i was a satanist because she doesn’t know shit. but i dont pay attention to what people like her say. so you really shouldn’t care either.
The organized Satanist religion basically advocates believing in your own potential as a human being and finding the answers for yourself, rather than being a slave to a so-called “higher power.”

I think people are only asking you this question because they’re trying to annoy you. If they were truly afraid of Satanists, and thought you were one, why would they risk pissing you off by asking you about it? Try saying “yes” one day and see their reaction. They won’t have been expecting that answer. They’re just trying to be smart and show that they’re somehow superior. They’re not, so just toy with them, or totally ignore them because they’re not worth your time.
Can I say, if you live in a small town, ignore what audryn said. If somebody asks you if you’re a satanist and you say yes, generally it starts a hate campaign in little towns, and you don’t wanna be living with that till you can get out.
Just get over it, coz you’re better informed then they are anyway. So take the moral high ground and be happy.

Satinism and demon worship are also two different things. A person who belongs to the Church of Satan, which teaches self and self acelleration (which the Christians dubbed evil and thus made into the devil), does not worship anything at all. In fact, we don’t do any of that dark black crap or sacrifice shit or anything. That’s up to sickos who have nothing better to do (if you take offense to that, well, get therepy) And Satanists do not practivce wicca… and most Satanists are not Goth because the religion is buch older than that Fruity crap. I hate when people tell me that I am NOT a Satinist because i don’t dress like a goth. I think that this is probably what you are talking about, just backward. But, don’t confuse Satinism with Devil worship, Wicca, or a bunch of sick fucks killing babies. Or, go ahead and do it, no skin off my back.

That’s interesting, so many people are content to sit back and ignore, but I could never do that. Maybe it’s in my nature …. but i never ignored the world. just made it accept me without category. But then …. that’s a pain in the ass and alot of hard work, establishing yourself and making the people around you respect you for being an individual. You might not think it’s worth the stress and strain.
But the very first time a guy (my old coach) said to me “You’re a hell of a punk (I’m not but he was old so I forgive the mistake) but it takes guts to do what you do.”

listen i don’t think it really matters that much to be honest because however many times you tell people not to care what others think, they almost always will. i’m not sure why, but it does matter. we’re always gonna look around for other peoples views of us and i really don’t think shoutin and swearin gonna make much of a difference.
i’m so SO happy with who i am and the life i lead, but i just think, if you’re gonna co-exist with people for as long as you’re alive, then you may as well try to make them respect you at the outset. because being respected for individuality is so much easier than being looked down on for being different.
it’s just logic and if you don’t feel that way it’s your own lookout.

I’m a satanist, and i live the way i wan’t to, i dress the way i wan’t and no motherfucker is gonna tell me what to wear or what is right or wrong. People ask me, why don’t you have black hair and wear white make up. Again they think that because i’m a satanist i have to wear a specific kind of clothing. I wear what i want to wear, and shit on peoples comments, if i wan’t to wear white make up, and dark mascara i would do it, if i wan’t to wear jeans and t-shirt, i would fucking do it. Just ignore people, and do what you wan’t.
