Theres always post upon post of people complaining about being labelled. Be it goth, punk, freak, or just a free spirit, a deviation from the going ‘norm’ automatically attracts a label, no matter what you may say and do to justify yourself, you label them just as much.
Individualism attracts criticism, societys always been about conform or be consumed and/or destroyed, you cant expect the herd ( yep a label) to suddenly understand you. The herds consume themselves and new herds emerge, it will never change.
What does it matter that people think youre a ‘poseur’?
Why should you need something as destructive as society to validate who you are?
Im not the ‘norm’, I dont know anyone who’s the ‘norm’, hell I dont even know what the ‘norm’ is anymore.
The only person I need to validate my beliefs and actions is me.
I’m the only one living my life.
