Horror Web Manga to Be Adapted in Anime, Live Action Movie, and TV Series!

“…multiple adaptation projects based on the occult horror web novel Shishou Series are in the works.”

The web novel started in 2003 with just a few entries and now has more than 100 short stories available. Two books have been published, and a manga series, by Shu Katayama, which was published and released in 2013, –since then, two more large volumes of the series have been released. The story’s about a 25 year old student called “Shishou” who goes around with his own Scooby-gang of friends, investigating paranormal and supernatural ordeals.

On the source article, you can check out the Shishou anime trailer, –but what excited me most was seeing the name “Chiaki Konaka” on the list of credits for the live action movie, –he worked on The Big O, which is one of my favorite animes of all time. You know, from back when Adult Swim actually had good anime, instead of endless re-runs of Robot Chicken and that godawful Tim and Eric shit. I’m ready though, –and I don’t mind subtitles, so bring on the Shishou Series!
