I think that a key to the human develoment was the creation of religion. I am religious but I do think the comming of religion has caused humans to become what we are and to deface the world. I say this because in church i had always been told that humans are superior beings compared to the rest of the life on earth. Religion has also caused us to become a technological race in some ways. Because in the early time science was use to explain everthing around us and to try to prove that gods are real. But religion has been the most useful tool for humans to gain power and from power a hunger for power grows this makes humans want to rule others so they have more power. Once a man reaches the pinical of his power he will come crashing down to powerlessness. And like man if the religions that are based on gods are shown that gods donot exist they will crumble. But if gods do exist then they shall flourish forever only dieing when another religion over powers them. Please speak your thoughts on what i just wrote. for here i shall end my rambling.
A world without religion

I agree a lot with what you are saying. Check out the Brotherhood website at http://www.brotherhoodn.homestead.com It has a lot of Goth allies
I agree to a lot of what you said. However i rather doubt that science will ever prove that gods don’t exist. Once mankind reached space for example, that did not dent the faith of religious sects. Even though they for centuries proclaimed that heaven was up above in the stars. However your right, religions come and go as newer ones overpower the older, smaller ones, almost like conquering nations really. They each have their time and then fall to the barbarians so to speak. Religions have never been based on fact in my opinion. It was always “faith” that you didn’t need proof that gods existed. They just did. Of course as mankind has grown technologicaly, they seek, as you have said to explain everything. But it is a difficult task to disprove what millions of “believers” think. It is a thing that in most cases in drilled into them from early childhood. I think mankind couldn’t survive without religion, unless it replaced this “need” with something else.
