Blood Dripping Roses
Prologue~
Ebony Millers sat in her 8th period class. The last class of the year. And finally, the school year would be over in…Ebony looked up at the clock…in 5 minutes. She tapped her on her desk she waited for the last bell.
“Ebony, what are you so antsy for?”
Ebony looked to the desk that was next to her to see her two friends, Amy and Neely standing next to her.
“I’m waiting for the last bell. I am so glad this year is over with!” Ebony said while sighing,
“Me too! And to think, next year, we’ll be seniors!” said Amy.
“So what are your summer plans?” questioned Neely.
“When I get out of school, Cory, me, and his parents are planning on going to Europe!”
“Damn! Really!? And when were you going to tell us about this?” asked Amy.
“We’ll this was sudden to me too. I mean, I didn’t know anything about either. Cory just came to me last night and said that we would be leaving first this at 4:00am tonight. Or in the morning! It’s really odd that all of a sudden were leaving.”
“No it isn’t! You’re going somewhere and have something to do, right when the summer starts! What a boyfriend!” Amy exclaimed.
Ebony jumped out of her seat when the last bell rang. Smiling to herself, she hurried down the crowded hallways of the high school. She wasn’t surprised at how everyone was acting. Boys were yelling and girl we’re joining with them too.
(No matter how old we get, we always seem to get excited about the same thing every year,) Ebony through to herself.
The May sun beamed down on Ebony as she walked out of the doors of the school. Her black hair blew around her pale skin in the wind. Cars drove wildly by her people cheering and waving goodbye. Finally, her eyes landed on Cory Hayward who was parked on the side, music blasting from his car.
Ebony swayed her hips as she approached the car, caching Cory’s eyes as he looked up and smiled at her. Sliding into the red convertible with the top back, Ebony smiled at Cory.
“You ready?” Cory asked, running his hand through his short, brown hair.
Ebony leaded over and kissed Cory deeply on the lips, not caring who was watching. As Cory drove out of the parking lot, she knew that people envy her. Ebony let her hair fly in the wind as the music blasted. A smiled crossed her lips. She was loving life to the fullest. She had a great life, a sexy boyfriend whom she loved and knew he loved her. She knew that life couldn’t get any better than it was. And she was happy.
Parking her things at her house and telling her parents goodbye, Ebony went to with Cory to his house to stay over the night until they left the next morning.
“I am so excited!” Ebony said smiling as she cleaned the kitchen, helping by washing the dishes.
“Cory, can you go outside and clean up that mess your dog made last night! There paper all over the lawn.” Cory’s mother fussed as she walked back into the house.
Ebony laughed as Cory mumbled under his breath, walking out the door.
Hours went by and Cory still haven’t returned back into the house. Cleaning off her hands, Ebony turned to walk out the door to get Cory when he walked into the house. Ebony noted the strangle look on Cory’s face. His hand was on his neck and he slowly stumbled into the house.
“Cory, what’s wrong with you?” Ebony said, crossing her arms laughing.
“Some…something bit me…”
When Cory pulled his hand down from his neck, which was clover with blood, and Ebony screamed as Cory fell to the floor.
