This is almost a true story…
Did she actually just say something about me loving my hand more than her?
“Oh come on…is this why you’re acting so weird? You’re afraid I don’t love you?”
“I didn’t say that.”
“You sure as hell implied it. But seriously – is that what you’re worried about? That I don’t love you because I masturbate? Like it isn’t normal for guys my age!”

“I didn’t say it was abnormal. It’s just a little weird for me to accept, and, if you’d like to know the perfect truth, a little insulting.”
“What? Insulting? How?”
“The thought, ‘You’re not good enough so I have to do it myself’ comes to mind.”
“Oh please! That’s not what it means at all! It means you’re not around, and I’m really fuckin’ horny. Trust me, I’d rather it be you than me.”
The seconds feel like hours.
‘Don’t make promises you can’t keep’…Fuck it. “Do you want me to stop?”
“No. I don’t know; I just want you to be happy. I guess I’ll get used to it.”
As he begins to kiss her softly, then more passionately, he puts his arm around her waist. Out of disgust, she throws his arm away, shudders, and says, “Don’t touch me.” A confused look crosses his face, and he tries to kiss her. She turns her head to avoid the kiss, and prepares to say something.
“No, don’t,” he says, afraid of what she might say, and walks out of the room thinking about the time she told him she doesn’t kiss guys she’s not dating.

She’s curled up in the corner on her bed when he walks back into the room. Without even a first thought, he crawls over to her and kisses her cheek. She puts her arm around his neck, and he engulfs her waist with his arms.
She rests her head on his shoulder, and says, “I love you.”
“That’s a surprise…”
“You think this changes how I feel about you?”
“It did a couple minutes ago.”
“Yeah, I’m sorry.”
While kissing her cheek softly, he whispers, “Eh, don’t be.” After a couple minutes, he says, “Ya know…most of the guys we go to school with do.”
“Duh. It’s not like I don’t know; it’s not like I didn’t know. I just didn’t have confirmation, and it was better that way.”
“Then why did you ask?”
“I dunno…it seemed appropriate. You asked me.”
“Which is another thing – I’m not disgusted that you do.”
“I do not! I just did. And besides, me telling you that made you horny.”
A few seconds of silence pass, and he says, “One of the guys that hangs out with me a lot does.”
“Yeah, well, I know who you’re talking about, and he couldn’t get a girl to give him anything if he gave her every dime he earns in his entire life.”
“Haha. Yeah…are you okay, though?”
“I’ll get there.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah. Don’t worry about it.”
He kisses her lovingly. She pulls back after a minute or so, looks into his eyes, then begins licking his neck. In a couple seconds, he feels her hand traveling from his neck down to his chest, then his stomach, then beginning to undo his belt.

As the whole becomes stronger, the individual becomes weaker. Power is taken, to the point where the individual must be part of the whole, or dwindle away into nothingness, not even able to keep itself alive. This is an unwritten law of survival; an unwritten law of civilized society and government. Or so America seems to think.
