Deep down
By the Beautiful bay
There lived a beautiful woman
There she cried everyday
She’d read some sappy stories
And little love lores
She’d often make sweet soft sighs
Yet she continued to hurt even more
She read about some mighty men
With their mighty swords
She saw them save the dreamy damsels
Without any care in the world
After many days of loneliness
She couldn’t take it anymore
She grabbed a pen and some plain white paper
And decided to put her thoughts into words
“This is it,” she wrote
“This is the day i lose control
The day the sun, though bright, clouds my heart
The day that even the tumbleweeds won’t roll
“You see,
i’ve been alone for so very long
It’s hard to live
It’s hard to breath as I sleep alone
“It’s hard to dream
When you’ve no hope left
It’s hard to hope
When your heart was lost as if by theft
“I have cried without pause
I have lived without reason
How the time has flied
I can’t even tell the season
“With the end of this letter
Comes the end of all things
I bid you, piece of paper, adeu
Good-bye…” signed, “Me.”
And she hung the letter on the bathroom door
She held the gleaming razor to her wrist
She made two deep slashes on both
And as the blood blurred her vision,
She lye to rest.
