Sweet Pain
Is there such a thing?
If I felt it, does it make it real?
Is the only truth the lived truth?
You bit into me
You embraced me between your teeth
as a mad predator would his prey
At first I resisted
I didn’t like it
but I let go, stopped resisting
Allowed myself to be the prey
Embraced the pain as you did me
Accepted it
Became one with it.
It was no longer pain that I was feeling
It had turned from me feeling pain
Into me being pain
We became one, the pain and I.
I experienced the pain for its splendor
rather than for its spoil.
I lost myself
Seized to feel
A calm serene feeling
Washed over me
Ran through me
inside and out.
Feeling warm
Then not feeling anything
You kept biting and I kept accepting
Invited it
Your got scared for my body went limp
And I came back
Returned from my personal journey
From my euphoria
But I was there.
