Face it: Reality Sucks!

I believe there are two major categories to divide everyone into. There’s those who are aware of what’s really going on around them, and there are those who aren’t aware. Those who aren’t, are the ones who focus on the good things in life. You people must realize that so much horrilbe stuff is happening around you, pretty much everyday; if not where you live, then somewhere else in the world.

The kind of things people would say are nice about the world are things like the beautiful scenary, friendly people, love, and religious stuff.. As for the bad things in life, well, there’s lots: war, hate, death, weapons, destruction, fights, kills, drugs, diseases, sicknesses, and so on.

Think of life as a drug. You can take two approaches to it. You can either take the drug not knowing what harm it can do to you, or you can learn more about it and see all the shit that can happen to you. I say: learn about all the shit that’s going on around here and get a taste of reality. And yes, reality sucks. This world isn’t as beautiful as it may seem.

I could go on and on about this, but I think you got the idea by now..

P.S- Life is pain, and anyone who says something else has to open their eyes!

  1. I think that there is a third category. Those who can see reality but try their hardest to ignore it and get away from it. They never quite manange to get to the stage where they dont know what is going on around them. Yes reality sucks but unfortunatly we live in it, we have to to survive, to sit behind a desk and lose brain cells day by day, to work out in the cold and lose brain cells day by day. face it you are dead before you have died. The only thing killing you is reality.

  2. I support you all the way, except where you say that life is a drug you need to learn about before you know what happens. Shit gets thrown. You have no choice but to learn about it. People just take things too seriously. Mostly the people who say “LIFE IS GOOD.” Its like they’re trying to convert us to some hokey religion that waves smoke in front of our eyes so we cant see all the ugliness.

    makes sense to me.

  3. acctually theres another catagory …get this ok…there are people who know whats going on around them they see all of the uglyness and hate and death and all the bad shit that comes with it …and instead of closeing there eyes and ignoreing it or just turning there backs and saying oh well thats life …they try to do something to help and get the most out of life they see the beautiful as well as the ugly…yes theres alot of bad shit in this world but it isnt all bad and not all people are bad ….we need to take a step back and see the beauty and the uglyness …not just one or the other ..i see and deal with both sides of it the good always comes with the bad …and vise versa…you cannot have one without the other …remeber there are people out there who have had the worst of lifes and still continue to see the beauty in life and all it has to hold…I’m living proof of that….

  4. You know, life really can’t be as bad as we all think. Yes, there’s death, and destruction, hate and love, war and peace… et al. To say that all the people who try to find the good in things are ignorant or unaware is simply ludicrous. If you take a negative outlook on life, surely, that is your choice. But, do not assume that just because people see things in a better light that those people aren’t as informed as others. You merely choose to dwell on the war and hate and death and weapons, et al.

Although, I, admittingly, am pessimistic, I do not claim to be any more informed than the next man. And to simply state that there are not as many examples of love or campassion in the world, perhaps you are correct. But as an example, merely look at the outpoor of help from New Yorkers since the terrorist attacks. People are “bad”, people are chaotic. People aren’t entirely evil. Until you start to realize that perception doesn’t necessarily equate intellectual capacity, you’re just as uninformed as the people than those you claim are due to their stance on reality.
