Face of Yesterday

My eyes are eyes of deceit
Locked in their respective sockets
What’s the use of trying
I might possibly end up dying

I look at the faces of today
And see no traces of pain
But I look into the mirror
And see the face of yesterday
Pain, sorrow, agony
My only friends
My feelings are astray
Wish I could keep them at bay
So I try to breathe just for another day
In hope that something will change my perspective
My perspective on this tortured filled world
My perspective on an agonizing death
But these words only speak the truth
It’s not my fault that no one can face this harsh reality
If only they could come out of those little fairy boxes
To witness what they really are in this world
They’re nothing
They’re nothing like me
Nothing like everyone else
Oh but wait I must have it wrong
This poem just desribes me
And I’m the one everyone hates
