Through the alley two lover’s walk
Carefree of every thing except their thoughts
Unaware as they talk
A man in rags, engages his plot
Leaping out from behind the trash
He thrust his knife into his prey
Instinctively taking all their cash
Leaving the young women in her stay
As she cries out until she faints
When suddenly awakened by a salty tear
She open’s her eyes and see’s a saint
Seeing her lover’s thoughts for the first time clear
She looks into his eyes, pausing for a thought
As she knows now why its night they shared.
