For What I Am

I am on fire
like flames that float
the rays of the sun caressing
they reflect with golden brilliance

I am on fire
like flames that float
the rays of the sun caressing
they reflect with golden brilliance
and I shine

I am on ice
like deaths pale fingers
grasping for the warmth
tundra’s touch,
and I die

This shallow life
with its frail bodied disposition
I have transcended its barriers
and now live in immortal bliss
lord of the skies, of the stars
and of souls uncounted

By onceforsaken

with eyes closed, arms open yet shackled we all follow blindly.
