Graveyard Exit Wound (Poetic)

O woe of mine for thy skin lost
A pale reminder of what mine cost
Wherefore the grave beneath thee, moon?
Now art my love within the tomb?
Without waxen flow’r upon thy throat
Nor barren loveless soul to boast

As when the mists doth rise ’round here
The forest whispers shrouded fear
It calls thy name, so summons me
As I sound out one last prayer to thee
For now I walk ‘neath blackent sky
And watch as would a tearful eye

A single with’ring rose I see
As blood-red as thy lips to me
And thou art now upon my mind
Therefore through graves I seek to find
Sweet glist’ning frost upon thy brow
Dim lifeless eyes, still see for now

The poison staint upon thy lips
An ars’nic meant to stay a kiss
Ne’er to feel thy warmth again
I listen now to mournful wren
And see the sunshine in thy hair
Thoust ne’er to me hath lookt so fair
