I always thought it was easier to be the villain . No one expects him to persevere . No one is hoping and praying and wishing and willing and counting on him to succeed . No one’s heart breaks; no one cries, when he fails.

That’s not necessarily true. Villains usually come from gangs don’t they, so won’t all the people in the gang be hoping and praying and wishing and willing and counting on him to succeed. There are two sides to every story.
vixodus, i think there’s a difference between villians, and members of gangs. villians are usually on their own, or they have a whole bunch of thugs working for them who dont really give a shit. and insertnamehere, what happens when the villian succeeds?
but the point is that they have ‘a whole bunch of thugs working for them’. Someone always cares, even if it’s just a wife, mother or child or some insignificant person from the other side of the world, theres always someone.
vix has got a point, but then doesn’t she always?
i rarely ever have a point but i usually talk anyways.
thing is, i always favored the villain, i mean, villains are always so much more colorful aren’t they? but being a villain gets lonely – you forget how to trust people because you are ever ready to say goodbye. you forget how to make real contact because you forget that people need you. i think the world imposes so much pain and loneliness on us to begin with, what’s the point in stirring up a whole lot more?
lots of people hope that the villian will perservere. usually villians have a common enemy (the good guy) and the person to wipe him out will help them all. while, they might not like him per-say. they do hope he will succeed. and usually, villians have someone who does care for them. they just refuse to acknowledgs this person as actually liking them.
blacklight, you always seem to have a point, your ramblings often make sense and are good to read – even though they usually contradict everything i say, hehehe.

I often want the villain to suceed simply because they most likely grew up losing all the time. It’s their turn.
The hero of any story never has to face the consequences of his actions. The villain however does, if not directly then through his circumstances, position and actions. In this case the anti-hero has the hardest burden to bear. No one ever expects the bad guy to win and it makes the reward ever sweeter. At what price?
Nay, it’s the support cast that has the best end of the stick.
vixodus, i’m afraid i rarely highlight the points i agree with you on, and always highlight those i disagree on. if i spent my life explaining all the things you’ve said that i respect and concur with, i would have little time to do anything else.
I said something nice (however inelegantly expressed). Weird. I swear I must be getting soft.
Not at All Villains are bad. They have a reason for their hate, like us.
Now tell me, are we villains?
We are people trying to make a difference on this world. Our negatives combined to form something positive. We are not villains. We are better than those people who pretend to be good on the eyes of the public but is shit inside.
you’re right. so? now what?
a villian is a symbol of the times. whoever is in charge decieds who is a villian, and who is not. in this currant age, we are, unfortunately, the villians. hopefully there will be a time when we are not villians.
who is we and how are we the villians? if you mean humanity in general, then who could we possibly be the villians of?
