Is Goth a Trend, or is it the Future?

You see them all over now.
In the corners of class rooms, sitting alone with a sketch pad or you might see them at lunch.

You see them all over now.

These new trend setters are popping up everywhere leaving the rest of us wondering, “What did i miss?” You know of whom I
speak. They usually stick together and seldom talk to people unlike themselves.
After speaking to several of these new alternative dressers, I have come to a different opinion. I have determined that
they are not as hard to communicate with as I originally decided. They just seem a little unsure of others.
Can you blame them? All day long they receive ridicule by the masses. Yet they still keep popping up.
I spoke with Diana Richards, sophomore and has been a goth for two years. She told me “It is tough to determine
who wants to be friends and who is making fun. So, it is just easier to stay away from everyone. Everyone knows
that Yalada Felder was last weeks homecoming queen. She didn’t quite look like a stereotypical homecoming
queen if you remember. She stood on the stage and proudly wore her orange potato sack as a dress and
died her hair mohawk blue. Great school spirit as far as I was concerned. Although the alumnists contested it and
demanded a recount, the overwhelming number of voters prevailed.
“This is just the begining”, said Jason McCormic.
“One day we’ll be running the world and ain’t no body gunna stop us.”
The rest of his quote had to be censored. So what now for the rest of us? Do we follow suit and get a black trench
coat, or stay the way we are.
