just like that

jack lay on the cold metal ground. blood was his only comfort right now. he winced a little with pain. then he came in again. he kicked him softly on the side. ‘Looks dead enough.’ was his only remark. jack was far too limp to fight but he knew he wasn’t dead. his father grabbed the top of his hair and began dragging him down the hall of the huge house. he reached the bottom floor, cursing because jack had left a long trail of blood. “Who’s laughing now?”

but to understand what’s happening now..we’ll have to sail back to an earlier time. it was a sunny day, just the kind he hated because bright light hurt his bruised eyes but one was swollen shut so it didn’t matter much anyway. still in a trance of remembering a harsh night before he hardly heard the bell but misty’s voice was enuff to bring him back to life. “come on, you can’t stay at school all day.” she said. misty had a cute voice. “why not?” jack asked sarcastically, standing up. he was the exact same height as misty. and they had the same birthday. most people thought they were twins, even tho they didn’t look alike.”so anyway,” misty began “do you want to do something tonight?” “no misty, i think i’d rather stay home and get my brains bashed in by my father.” jack was too sarcastic for his own good sometimes. “well then meet me at my house at 5 pm.” misty replied. jack thought about that. 2 hours to kill before then. he couldn’t go home because once you get there, you can’t leave without putting up a fight for your life..no sarcasm there. jack decided to hang out around town all day. he headed towards the mall. searching for the nearest hot topic. after about an hour there he got on the escalator and began to leave. then suddenly a soft voice called “jack.”
