My Princess…

Feb, 2003

You’re the princess of all hearts,
And you’ve no idea when it starts.
You’re so much more than your outside,
And tonight nothing but your thoughts’re inside.

Your gracious soul has taken over,
My heart and mind, and left no cover.
Emotions inside are calling out your name,
And tonight you’re my only lit flame.

My life yearns to have your soul in the midst,
To hold you weather the wind blows east or west,
You’re the brightest of the stars I count at night,
As night embraces dawn, you leave my sight.

You’ve obliviously taken a place in me,
And I know your inevitable leaving won’t let us be.
Your leaving would be a wound I’ll cry over forever,
Your thoughts inside me will die never.

The world’s beauty sparkles in those eyes,
As I say a silent prayer to the night skies.
When I think of your every sweet word,
The pain of love stings my heart.

I’ll drain all that it takes to give you shelter,
I’ll be there to wipe your tears.
I’ll be forever ready to hold you close,
And eternally strive to wash your pain away
