My loneliness chews at me
Slowly bringing me closer to isolation.
I reach out for the company I seek
But I get nothing…..nothing
I know the parts fit together and
Will make sense
But no closer do I get
To solving this companionship puzzle
I know I should give up
But my desire is too strong
For that feeling of being wanted
Is too special to ignore
I try to show my kindness and understanding but
The closer I try to get, the farther I’m pulled away.
Living a life without anyone to hold I try to cope
But really, one doesn’t make company
