Poem to A Cutter

Close your eyes unto the night
no hand to hold to take the knife
This feelings inside, no tears to cry
I watch out the window and wish to die

as blood drips down as it beads at my thigh
who once held denial in the blade of a razor
in this found a saviour
A change from the familiar anguish
from the twinging guilt of failure
a more tolerable ache the one you create
this is not suicide it’s my proof I’m alive
I can’t escape all your tension
so I became a pin cusion
This is my poem to a cutter
who can no longer cry
this is my poem to a cutter
This is how we survive
