Their anger shatters the sky
Lightening rips through the horizon
The glory of heaven slowly starts to die
Innocence and Purity melting, swirling into oblivion
Soft, white wings turn black and crisp
Shiney, golden halos tarnish and crack
Laughter is lost, gone before it is missed
Happiness fades away as God turns his back
This disease takes the world over quickly
Sweeping over it all, leaving a path of hatred
Pain takes over, making everyone sickly
Prayers fill the air, all wishing to be dead
The darkness takes control, envelopes the masses
Clasped tight enough to steal a breath
A seance of sins taking no heed to status or classes
Breaking life down until there is no hope left
As misery is carried on the wings of a dove
A realization dawns on why all must bend down and pray
The rage of angels is that I fell in love
With the one that got away
