Roses

Roses, beautiful, deadly roses. They do not look as though they could harm, but they do. Grip it the wrong way and jirk back in suprise as thin streams of blood trickle down your arm.
I stare at the rose that resembles the shade of my blood so perfictaly, so beautifully against it’s petals.

Ahh… I am amazed the rose can be so trecherious and look so innocent at the same time. I slowly reach out, drawn in by the hypnotizing beauty of this delicate looking flower. My fingers close around the pale green stem, faded looking thorns bite into my flesh, and a soft sound excapes my lips.
A smile curves my lips and my hand tightens. The feal of it is comforting, I know know I can still feal. I understand finaly as blood trails down my wrist in thin slow movements like water leaking from a dam.
I open my hand, small blook filled pricks fill my hand, and I am happy, I haven’t felt this way in such a long time I had forgoten how it feals to be like this. The thrill of pain and pleasure. My thoughts are filled with roses and blood, now and always.

  1. Cool. I’ve always thought that whole, “I now know I can still feel” was part of the reason some people hurt themselves. Interesting image, but you really should edit the spelling (or shall I say typing?) It distracts me from the beauty of your words.

  2. A few thoughts running through my mind as I read . . . . .

Interesting thought about roses. Like shining knights in armour with pointy swords, they shine and can be deadly, they have their beauty about them yet will do battle. Medieval “War of the Roses” comes to mind so aptly named for its time.

It can be such a fragile looking thing, a rose and yet harbour such pain within…such feirce struggles when accidently pressed upon to confess.

  3. Just like humans, everybody has their thorns, but some of us hide them so easily.

Don’t get wrapped up in roses when you can get the same kind of beauty and danger from touching other people.

  4. I think it really beatiful. I hop too see more of you work. btw sorry for my poor spelling.
