Sun, moon, and sea

Long ago, the sun and the moon were brothers. What tore them apart was the love of a woman. That woman was the sea. The sun seemed most in her favor at first- for he built the sand for her.

He built a great kingdom of sandcastles, just for her, in the name of his affections. She basked in his radiance, and was content for a while. Then the moon too began to woo her. He drew her close to him, with a force that she did not understand. He alone had power over her heart. Every night, her tide would try to reach out to him, and he in turn would cause her body to shine and glow in his light. Soon she spurned the sun, and with the moon’s help, she destroyed all of the sandcastles that the sun had built for her. And to remind him of her choice, the sea placed her call in each sea-shell. They would be delivered on the sand, still shimmering with the ethereal light that the sun could never possess.

THIS TALE OF LOVE IS WHAT YOU SEE IN YOUR DREAMS.

QUITE GOOD AND TOTALLY TRUE TO ME (EXCEPT MY BRIGHTNESS IS DULLED BY THE GLOW OF “SOCIETY”)
