Ebony Millers sat in her 8th period class. The last class of the year. And finally, the school year would be over in…Ebony looked up at the clock…in 5 minutes. She tapped her on her desk she waited for the last bell.
It was just another plain night. I went for a walk because Dad was out of town again and mom was sleeping already. I had many things on my mind. I missed my father, we weren’t as close as we used to be.
“You have to give this to them, Emmi, your life is too important and I think you need help…” She hands me the letter and I reluctantly take it. I don’t leave…even though I know I’m supposed to.
And there is light in my hallway of darkness. And you never thought possible that there would be light in my part of the hallways, but there it is! I work to it and I see a beautiful garden.
The school once bustling with children now abandoned and destroyed. Walking the halls I smell the distant scent of chalk. Hallways filled with lockers which were once bright red now a rusty pink color. I entered a classroom.
