The Ancient Black

I stood at the edge of the precipice
of the Ancient Black,
looked over the edge,
took everything i had
and threw it in.

I gazed into the swirling vortex
the end of it all
and the beginning of everything else,

Threw in the smaller pieces of myself
and what was left
I kicked in behind it.

It is only in those most wrenching moments,
that illumination comes from despair,
speaking quietly
telling you..

Finish what you have started.
It isn’t time to begin again.
All the pain and anguish
is but a small part
of the infinite you.

Reach out and touch
the Greater Black.
You don’t need to confess
your sins
at the edge of the abyss.
It’s truth and darkness
already live with in
