The Angel’s Burial

There was a time when time was nothing
There was a time when angels lived
A time where all good was alive and beautiful
But the rose killed it with its tear

The angel looked up at the stars
She could not believe what she was doing
She floated up and into the night
Up to the funeral

A funeral so sad and dark
Nothing could ever see
The angel stared down into the coffin
She saw that there was no one there

The rose knew what it had caused
It kept crying its melody
The angel prayed and hoped, but understood
She stepped down into here death

The land died in grief
The sea boiled in anger
The wind left in disgust
And fire swept across

There was a time when time was nothing
There was a time when angels lived
A time where all good was alive and beautiful
But the rose killed it with its tear
