The Fairy Saw It

She looked into is eyes, and so the fairy saw it.
She touched his dampened skin, and so the fairy saw it.
She pulled him in close, and so the fairy saw it.

She grazed his salty lips, and so the fairy saw it.
She brushed back his long hair, and so the fairy saw it.
She opened her mouth, bringing it to his neck, and so the fairy saw it.
She took his life quick, and so the fairy saw it.
She bit her soft wrist, and so the fairy saw it.
He drank from her body, and so the fairy saw it.
An immortal was born and only the fairy saw it.

Wings black and blue. Skin pale and dead. Face of child. Body of an angel. Darkness in my eyes, I am Lullaby.
