West Gate Necromantic

How could I possibly describe West Gate any other way than to say that it is absolutely
breath taking. Both in it’s beautifully morbid art and it’s wanton embrace of Death.

West Gate is not only a website dedicated to the Angel of Death, but also a real Temple (Which
may be seen in New Orleans on Magazine Street). As someone who has personally been there, believe me when I say no picture or words could possibly describe the majesty therein.

This Temple of Azrael was founded and is owned by Leilah Wendell. It all began in the mid-seventies when the West Gate Press was born “Undinal Songs.” At the time it was the only
necromantic art and literature periodical in the world. In 1982 Writer’s Digest Magazine
named it as one of the top 50 publications in its field.

There was a major reconstruction in 1983 and Undinal Songs became known as the “West Gate Group.” Finally, in 1984, the West Gate gallery was opened, originally in Long Island, New York.

In 1990 Leilah was on vacation in New Orleans. She fell in love with “The City of Enchantment”
and in her own words said “It seemed to have been chosen by Azrael himself.” This is where Daniel Kemp came into joining “West Gate.”

Although the “mission” of West Gate began in 1975, it wasn’t until 1979 that they finally settled on a company name that best described their purpose.

To this day West Gate still stands firm on Magazine Street, the only purple house on its block.

I strongly recommend visiting this website at http://www.westgatenecromantic.com/, and definitely the actual place if possible. Among the things which can be found inside this
dwelling of macabre include: art (which may be purchased), books (written by Leilah Wendell and Daniel Kemp), Historical knowledge of Azrael, True encounters with Azrael, and much, much more.

I would like to thank Leilah and Daniel for providing such a wonderful place of knowledge and beauty. I would also like to thank Brujah for giving me the opportunity to write for him. I
hope that you have all enjoyed my first article, I hope to release a second one soon.
