Give me wings so I may fly
But fly away to where?
Here is empty
There–nothing
Too tired to remember to care
Tied to my own frustration
A heart still drying from glue
Tomorrow is nothing
The future–a hole
A mind still fighting the blues
I wake alone
I sleep the same
I’ll watch the moon un-held
Give me wings and I will fly
Right into a brick wall
Life–like a fly in water
I swim without reason
Tomorrow’s coming
Without my wings
What to do?
Where to?
